1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using Tablo ("Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. Tablo is operated by Tablo ("we", "us", "our").

2. Description of Service

Tablo is a staff training platform for restaurants that uses artificial intelligence to generate quiz questions from menu content. The Service is intended for business use by restaurant managers and owners.

3. Account Registration

You must provide accurate information when creating an account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. One free trial per person or business — creating multiple accounts to abuse the trial period is prohibited.

4. Free Trial and Subscription

New accounts receive a 7-day free trial with no credit card required. After the trial, continued access requires a paid subscription. Subscriptions are billed monthly or annually. You may cancel at any time and will retain access through the end of the current billing period. No refunds are provided for partial periods.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to: upload content you do not have rights to use; attempt to reverse-engineer the Service; use the Service to harm or defraud others; or share your account credentials with users outside your restaurant.

6. AI-Generated Content

Quiz questions and menu extractions are generated by AI and may contain errors. You are responsible for reviewing content before sharing it with your staff. We make no guarantees about the accuracy of AI-generated content.

7. Intellectual Property

You retain ownership of the menu content you upload. By uploading content, you grant us a limited license to process it for the purpose of providing the Service. We retain all rights to the Tablo platform, design, and software.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Tablo shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid in the 3 months preceding the claim.

9. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms. You may delete your account at any time by contacting us at [email protected].

10. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

1. Information We Collect

We collect information you provide directly: your name, email address, restaurant name, and menu content you upload. We also collect usage data including quiz scores, training activity, and feature usage to improve the Service.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to: provide and improve the Service; generate quiz questions from your menu content using AI; send account-related emails (confirmations, trial reminders); and detect and prevent abuse of the free trial.

3. Menu Content and AI Processing

Menu photos, PDFs, and text you upload are sent to Anthropic's Claude API solely to extract menu items and generate quiz questions. We do not use your menu content to train AI models. Anthropic's privacy policy governs their handling of this data.

4. Staff Data

Staff names, PIN numbers, and quiz scores are stored to power the training and progress features. This data is visible only to managers at your restaurant. We do not share staff data with third parties.

5. Payment Data

Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store your full payment card details. Stripe's privacy policy governs payment data handling. We store your Stripe customer ID to manage your subscription.

6. Device Fingerprinting

To prevent abuse of the free trial, we collect a hashed device fingerprint (a non-reversible signature based on your browser and device characteristics) at account creation. This does not identify you personally and cannot be used to track you across other websites.

7. Data Sharing

We do not sell your data. We share data only with service providers necessary to operate the Service: Supabase (database and authentication), Anthropic (AI processing), and Stripe (payments).

8. Data Retention

We retain your data while your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete your data within 30 days, except where required by law (e.g. billing records).

9. Security

We use industry-standard security practices including encrypted connections (HTTPS), secure password hashing via Supabase Auth, and access controls. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.

10. Your Rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data at any time by emailing [email protected]. We will respond within 30 days.
